Just fantastic, we’ve been 3 years on the trot, it never disappoints… one of our fav restaurants in Italy
We came without reservation and were lucky to get a table. The stuff is really nice and complement a cozy atmosphere here. We also liked our food - pasta with black truffles, and appreciated the portion size. Regarding the parking: it’s hard to find something close, so we parked on a public parking spot, which is 10 mins walk away from the restaurant.
The owner was very helpful in suggesting nice food and helping us share the pasta and starters. We had a mixed grill plate and it was absolutely fantastic in terms of taste and quality. Also good: the red house wine, an easy, fruity Chianti. We vame back a second time to try other items on the menu. Everything was very very tasty.
Fantastic restaurant where the locals go. Cozy atmosphere, great service and the food is delicious. The tiramisu is amazing. If you’re in the area check this place out. Parking is impossible as the street is narrow. There’s a public parking lot about 200 yards away. Worth the walk!
Came here for lunch, absolutely fantastic food. Loved all the dishes, and the tiramisu was AMAZING. Very charming, welcoming environment.
We came to this restaurant ten years ago when we were staying in San Cascionne from the recommendation of our air bnb host. We loved it so much we ended up going back twice more during that trip. The owner was really helpful, not only in helping us pick dishes and try new things but also giving advice for what to do locally. Now ten years later we still remember him and the restaurant. Although we were staying over an hour away, we drove into town just to go to that restaurant. The owner was still there! We had anotjer lovely server - super attentive, explained the menu very patiently as I kept asking many different questions. He then offered to do half portions so we could try more appetizers, which was so very appreciated...and they were all delicious. Our mains were equally delicious - the truffle pasta was loaded with truffles and my sons simple pasta ragu was super flavourful. I'm pleased our lovely memories of the place still hold true ten years later!
We sat outside, and that allowed us not only to enjoy the food, but also the pleasant early summer night and the people of San Casciano walking back and forth along the street. We loved food and the friendly service. They have beer, even though it's not on the menu.
Wonderful restaurant with amazing owner Guiseppe and staff who provide top shelf service and food with great prices. We had dinner there twice during our visit to Tuscany. Delicious pasta, salads, antipasti and main dishes like roast pork and chicken cacciatore. Lots of local people we’re dining throughout which is a good barometer of the quality of the food. Guiseppe told me that he wants to provide a traditional atmosphere of home cooking that is accessible to everyone and he certainly accomplishes this every day! The local bottled wine he serves is only 13 Euro and if you don’t finish it, you only pay for what you drink. I highly recommend this place and if you go, say hi to Guiseppe for me!
